Most SEOs focus their structured data validation on Google, which is understandable. But if Bing represents a meaningful slice of your traffic, or if you’re working on a site where the audience skews toward Windows users or Bing’s Copilot integrations, it’s worth verifying your markup renders correctly on Bing too. The Bing Webmaster Tools Markup Validator lets you do exactly that, and it’s included free with any Bing Webmaster Tools account.
The validator accepts a URL and checks the structured data on the page, flagging any issues it finds with your JSON-LD, Microdata, or Open Graph tags. The interface is clean and the error messages are reasonably clear, though I find them slightly less detailed than what Google’s Rich Results Test provides. You do need a Bing Webmaster Tools account to use it, which means a Microsoft login and adding your site as a property, but that’s worth doing for the broader webmaster toolkit rather than just the schema validator.
Where this tool is genuinely valuable is in catching discrepancies between how Google and Bing interpret your markup. Bing has its own views on which schema properties it prioritises, and there are occasional differences in how the two engines handle certain types. If you’re investing in structured data properly, spending a few minutes cross-checking with Bing costs nothing and occasionally surfaces issues you’d otherwise miss. It’s not the most exciting tool on this list, but it earns its place.
